MAURICE

Maurice Whelan is the founder of Unleash Potential, a dynamic Irish company passionate about supporting executives within the current challenging economic environment. Maurice focuses on the specific needs of each client, with an emphasis on unlocking their power within to help them to achieve their specific business and personal goals. Maurice provides tailored executive coaching, business consultancy, personal development and psychotherapy programmes for individuals and businesses.

Maurice has over 20 years experience working in both the public and private sector at Senior Management and Executive level. He has qualifications in Psychotherapy, Marketing, Supervisory Management, Stage Craft and Voice Production. Additionally, he is a Graduate of Insead Paris where he successfully completed the Advanced Management Programme.

MAURICE WHELAN, FOUNDER

Maurice’s leadership and strategy execution skills have been recognised by the many National and International Awards he has achieved, including European People Manager of the Year and European Industry Champion of the Year (ECCA). Maurice is EMCC Accredited Coach & Mentor at Practitioner level and subscribes to the EMCC Code of Ethics (see emccouncil.org).

He has twice received the National Award for Contact Centre Manager of the Year, the only individual ever to receive this distinction.

He is a Fellow of the Contact Centre Management Association (CCMA) and in 2007 he was the recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award.

Maurice is an accomplished, engaging, entertaining and powerful Conference Speaker.

Maurice has a genuine passion in delivering an ‘Extraordinary Experience’ for his clients. His focus is on supporting them in exploring and unlocking their inner power in order to reach their full potential and to add value to their organisations. JAN BECKER – Associate

Jan is a Leadership Development Specialist who has been working in international companies for over ten years and training leaders of all levels, SMEs and other individuals for over six of those years.

Since 2016, he is qualified to deliver the Personal Leadership Programme and has been helping over 100 leaders in Europe and North America to level up their Leadership Skills. In addition to this programme, he holds certifications for a multitude of Leadership and Management approaches, Team Development and Communication techniques, as well as for Project Management Frameworks.

Jan is dynamic, flexible and experienced with working in multicultural environments, most notably in the entertainment and tech industry. He will use his energetic and approachable style to engage learners and make sure the learning experience is impactful, enjoyable and tailored to the specific needs of each customer.

DERMOT MAGUIRE – Human Resources Associate

Formerly the Group Head of HR at VHI Healthcare, Dermot Maguire has a wealth of experience in all aspects of HR. With a unique flair and passion for Performance Management, Employee Engagement Programmes, Employee Development, Succession Planning, Coaching and Mentoring, Mediation and Investigations and understanding of Employment Law procedures and Conflict Resolution.

He has a reputation for delivering exceptional creative and innovative solutions for clients and is regarded by his peers as a shining example of a HR professional at the top of his game.

Dermot is a graduate of the National College of Ireland Relations (Management and Industrial Relations). He subsequently completed post-graduate qualifications with a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations from Keele University in the U.K. and a Master of Business Studies from Dublin City University. He also holds a Diploma in Executive Coaching. He is also has received accreditations with Myers Briggs, using ESCI 360-degree tools and Psychometric Test User (A&B) from the British Psychological Society. He is a trained investigator for employment grievances and employer investigations.

Dermot has a Diploma in Company Law and Corporate Governance with the Law Society of Ireland. His professional qualifications are a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. (FCIPD).

He has lectured part-time in Human Resources on third level courses at a number of Dublin universities.

He is also a current Board Director of Recycle IT. (Community Enterprise Board) and Carrs Child and Family Services.

BENEDIKT  OEHMEN

Benedikt has been referred to as “coach to the geeks”. His primary focus is on personal & leadership development for gaming & technology nerds.

His philosophy focuses on the Big Three to effect meaningful change: 𝗕𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱. 𝗕𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗕𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻. This creates a judgment-free zone to connect with oneself and others. Here we resolve conflict skillfully, are open to new viewpoints and insights, allowing us to learn and grow continuously.

Benedikt was with Blizzard Entertainment for 17 years. He focused on managing, leading and coaching multicultural publishing and production teams, overseeing operations, projects and events for multiple AAA games with millions of players (World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo 3, Hearthstone…), employing a one team mindset.

Benedikt is a certified coach with three diplomas in leadership, mental health and corporate wellbeing coaching. He delivers coaching in German and in English.

SUSIE BEAUMONT

Susie Beaumont – Associate, B.A (Communications), LLB (Honours), LLM (Comparative Law), Certified Diversity Professional

Before moving into coaching full-time, Susie had a long and very successful global career in law as well as diversity & inclusion and ethics & compliance.

Susie has lived and worked in Australia (where she is from), Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and Dubai (where she is now based). She has led and worked with teams across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, as well as North, Central and South America.

Susie was a partner in one of the largest global law firms in the world (Baker & McKenzie) before moving in-house to become General Counsel at a global tech company called OLX. While at OLX, in addition to her legal role, Susie set up and led the group’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Ethics & Compliance (E&C) functions. During her career Susie has won numerous awards, the most recent being an “Outstanding Leadership Award” in tech by Internet 2.0 for her contributions to D&I and E&C in tech.

In addition to being a life and executive coach, Susie is also a Menopause coach. She is passionate about guiding women through their menopause experience and helping them thrive.

In the menopause space, Susie also works with organizations to help them develop a deeper understanding of the impact of menopause on the workforce and build a more supportive and inclusive workplace that empowers team members to thrive at all stages of life.

PADDY CREEDON – B.A., M.B.A. – Associate 

Paddy holds a B.A. in Management, an International Executive MBA (Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School) and has extensive healthcare management experience, including over thirty years experience with the Voluntary Health Insurance Board (VHI), Ireland’s largest private medical insurer.

He has developed a solid reputation as a thought leader in healthcare, with extensive management experience, both nationally and internationally, including at CEO level, with a focus on strategy development and execution, team building and motivation with a strong results orientation. In addition, he has a special interest in behavioural healthcare, corporate social responsibility and local community development.

He continues to work on a pro bono basis in this area, bringing him into contact with a number of key people and organisations in the UK, including the PFA, UKESAD, across Europe and the United States.
